On Mode Reducts of Semimodules

چکیده
Modes are idempotent and entropic algebras. More precisely, an algebra (A,Ω) of type τ : Ω −→ Z is called a mode if it is idempotent and entropic, i.e. each singleton in A is a subalgebra and each operation ω ∈ Ω is actually a homomorphism from an appropriate power of the algebra. Both properties can also be expressed by the following identities: (I) ∀ω ∈ Ω, x . . . xω = x (E) ∀ω, φ ∈ Ω, with m-ary ω and n-ary φ,

Embedding Modes into Semimodules, Part I
By recent results of M. Stronkowski, it is known that not all modes embed as subreducts into semimodules over commutative unital semirings. Related to this problem is the problem of constructing a (commutative unital) semiring defining the variety of semimodules whose idempotent subreducts lie in a given variety of modes. We provide a general construction of such semirings, along with basic exa...
متن کاملŁukasiewicz Transform Based Algorithm for Image Processing
We define the Łukasiewicz Transform by mean of the partition of unity defined in [4] and semimodules over the semiring reducts of an MV-algebra. Then we describe the “Łukasiewicz Transform Based” (ŁTB) algorithm for image processing, showing some results of its application.
متن کاملLukasiewicz transform and its application to compression and reconstruction of digital images
We define the Lukasiewicz transform as a residuated map and a homomorphism between semimodules over the semiring reducts of an MV-algebra. Then we describe the “ Lukasiewicz Transform Based” ( LTB) algorithm for image processing, demonstrating its applicability.
متن کاملDiscretization by adjoint pairs: Lukasiewicz and Q-module transforms
We define the Lukasiewicz Transform as a residuated map and a homomorphism between semimodules over the semiring reducts of an MV-algebra. Then we describe the “ Lukasiewicz Transform Based” ( LTB) algorithm for image processing. We also propose a strong extension of such concepts and results in the framework of quantales and quantale modules. 1 The Lukasiewicz transform and its applications Th...
متن کاملFlat semimodules
To my dearest friend Najla Ali We introduce and investigate flat semimodules and k-flat semimodules. We hope these concepts will have the same importance in semimodule theory as in the theory of rings and modules. 1. Introduction. We introduce the notion of flat and k-flat. In Section 2, we study the structure ensuing from these notions. Proposition 2.4 asserts that V is flat if and only if (V ...
